Rita Indiana y Los Misterios at Hard Rock Cafe.
Zoom Picture

Santo Domingo.– Due to the huge success of last Thursday's concert, contemporary Dominican star Rita Indiana y los Misterios is back at Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo this coming Thursday, 25 March 2010 at 8 pm.

With a refreshing and irresistible concept, Rita Indiana mixes traditional with funky, electronic, hip-hopish sounds that some have described as alternative and futuristic merengue.

This is good music with good sound unlike that freaking reggae-ton. It has a mixture of Caribbean and African beats along with other type of beats.

Have you listened to her stuff? Simplistic, overproduced tripe. A glaring example of style over substance.

Why is it so bad??Because she uses Palos as the base for her music???Lets get for real, where she a foreigner like Shakira you'd all be all over her, but because she is taking a fresh approach to our oldest music and bringing it to a wider audience she is the devil. I'd rather have a thousand Ritas rather than one single Daddy Yankee. Rita sigue pa alante y a los que no te pasan que cojan pa PR en una yola......Rita y los Misterios pa mucho tiempo.

I like it. She is definitely on to something. Like a Dominican Bebe. Hopefully she gets good backing from record company before someone like a Shakira takes it and runs with it.

As expected, Shakira is now doing merengue. I should have been in the music business...
