Santo Domingo.– The XII Muestra Internacional de Cine de Santo Domingo, which is dedicated to Chile this year, will take place from 10 to 20 March at Palacio del Cine cinemas of Bella Vista Mall, on Sarasota Avenue.

Films from Spain, Germany, Argentina, France, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Uruguay, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Venezuela, United States, Japan, Norway, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic will be exhibited and will compete in the different categories.

Some of the participating films are: "Celda 211" and "A la deriva" (Spain), "El primer dia del resto de tu vida" (France), "El secreto de tus ojos" (Argentina-Spain), "El ultimo verano de la boyita" (Argentina), "Gestacion" (Costa Rica), "La pasion de Gabriel" (Colombia), "Los dioses rotos" (Cuba), "Paraiso" (United States), "Retazos de vida" (Ecuador), "Caminando" (Japan), "Navidad" (Chile), "Viaje redondo" (Mexico), "Whisky y soda" (Germany) and "Zamora" (Venezuela).

"El secreto de sus ojos" Argentina was nominated as one of the best foreign films for Oscars.
I hope we also get: "Das Weisse Band" Germany, "Un Prophete"- France, "Ajami"- Israel, "La Teta
Asustada" - Peru.
