Santo Domingo.- Cuban actor Francisco Gattorno is in Santo Domingo promoting his latest movie “Chance”, a comedy about two live-in maids who take over their employer’s house and kidnap a well known family of Panamanian politicians.
The movie, an independent production by Aventura films, was shot on location in Panama City, Panama and is playing in Caribbean Cinemas.
In the premiere of “Chance” the film broke all 2010 paid attendance records in Panama, including “Avatar.”
Gattorno, well known in Dominican circles for his roles in telenovelas including “Mi Pecado” and “Cañaveral de pasiones” has acted next to the movies greats such as Javier Bardem in “Before Night Falls” and his many film credits include 37 international productions, 25 telenovelas and 221 theater works.
Next weekend in New York he’ll open the off Broadway production of “Doña Flores y sus dos maridos.”
