Santo Domingo.- Next Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Vicini group will begin construction of the movie studies Pinewood Indomina Studios, 17 kilometers west of the capital on the highway to San Pedro de Macorís (east), according to local news source diariolibre.com.

The news comes during heightened interest in using the country's diverse panoramas for film production, and pending legislation to provide incentives for the industry.

Well despite our always wanting Pinewood Studios to expand around The UK, it is impossible to criticise The Dominican Republic.

72 years ago this month in july 1938 you were the only country who accepted Jews fleeing hitler in Germany and Austria when all other countries especially Great Britain refused to accept even one.

Dont waste your money at the movies... Its better to watch it on your big flat panel at home... I pay for satalite tv at home, I have thousands of movies to choose from

Maybe it is God's reward for The Dominican Republic being the only country to shelter Jews in July 1938 at The Evian Conference in France.
Genesis 12 verse 3 "I will bless those who bless you".
It could of course just be because of the very beautiful women...or is that another Divine Blessing ?
