SANTO DOMINGO.- Antena Latina Films announced the opening in the country of the local production "La Soga," shot in Dominican Republic and New York City, on August 12 in the major theaters nationwide.

"La Soga" features in the leading roles the Dominican actor-director Manny Perez and former Miss Universe the Puerto Rican Denisse Quiñones in her film debut.

Also written by Manny Perez, the feature film directed by Josh Crook has earned rave reviews in the festivals in has been shown.

Based on real events it depicts the story of Luisito alias "La Soga," son of a butcher who was gunned down and who embarks on the trail of vengeance amid corruption and violence.
