Santo Domingo. - AES Dominicana Foundation through the program “Give affection to your school,” handed the keys to a new modern building with four classrooms to the school Brisas del Caucedo Sur, in Boca Chica, an activity in which Education Minister Melanio Paredes hailed the organization’s efforts for education in the country.
During the inaugural of the school, which can hose for 180 students, AES Dominicana Foundation president Marco De la Rosa announced the start of the organization’s cycle of sponsorship for school year 2010-2011, which in addition to Brisas del Caucedo Sur, includes the kilometer 17 Elementary School, the Ercilia Pepín, in Bajos de Haina, and Pueblo Nuevo, in Los Mina.
Paredes and De la Rosa also pledged to join efforts to carry out joint, integral projects to benefit education.
The ceremony also counted with the presence of the deputy mayors of Boca Chica, Amada Castro, 10-05 School District director Francisca del Carmen Ferreira, AmchamDR Business Social Responsibility manager Liliana Cruz, and the director of the school Brisas de Caucedo Sur, Luciano Civil.
