LOS ANGELES. - The Dominican singer songwriters Juan Luis Guerra and Pavel Núñez will compete in the Latin Grammy Awards prizes, the Latin Recording Academy revealed today.
The announcement took place in the Avalon club, of Hollywood, with the presence of, among others, of, the Puerto Ricans Kany Garcia, Gilberto Santa Rosa, the Cuban Arturo Sandoval, the Mexican pop/rock trio Camila, Mario Quintero Lara (of the Tucanes de Tijuana), and Aleks Syntek, who’ll announce the nominees.
Guerra joins the Uruguayan Jorge Drexler, the Spaniard Alejandro Sanz, and the Mexican Mario Domm as the favorites to win the coveted prizes with four candidacies each.
