Higüey, Dominican Republic. - The Puntacana Group through its Puntacana Foundation, opened the Christmas season with a Carols Gala in Higüey’s Basilica, where those present enjoyed a selection of melodies by the National Symphony Orchestra, and the National Choir.

This year’s concert featured the Modern Musical Education Center’s Children Choir, which accompanied the orchestral conducted by Jose Antonio Molina, in the merengue rendition of a “Dominican Christmas gift.”

Puntacana executive Haydée Rainieri thanked those presents and asked the talented youths "to take the opportunities for wealth to benefit the entire community,” adding that since its beginnings the Puntacana Group has sought to strengthen community values, its talents and wealth. “We’re glad this Carrols concert has become a custom for Higüey, which represents the start of the Christmas season.”

there are many wonderful carols in many different languages and congratulations to the Punta Cana group for bringing christmas joy into Higuey .I was not there but hope to be next year now that this is a regular event . I doubt if anyone could dislike the christmas story from the announcement right through to the day of the three kings ,And even if people may not be believers or follow other faiths , the christmas story still is a great story and the carols make the story greater.
