SD.- The DT reader R.C. Pasut has sent numerous photos of a pick up truck dubbed “Oriental” that are being assembled in Santiago, the country’s second biggest city.

He said the assembly consists of 23 pickup trucks MUNDE, which weigh 1,000 pounds;10 feet long by 4 feet wide by 5 feet high; tires are 500 # 12

The vehicles are single cylinder engine - 5 speed forward - on reverse, have a radio; 3 gallon tank; 120 kilometers per gallon, and their bed is 6 feet long and 4 feet wide.

What is this all about? Although good news, the DR should be in the works developing alternaive fuel vehicles. Any way, who actually makes these trucks and from what country is it being imported from?

Need more info to get truely excited about something. Anyway it looks like and must be Indian made.
