Las Vegas, Nevada.-  Dominican music icons Juan Luis Guerra and Milly Quezada won two Latin Grammy awards each in the annual event, staged in the Mandalay Bay Hotel Thursday night.

Guerra, who led the nominations with six, won an award as best producer of the year with the winning song in the tropical category, "Toma mi vida," which he performs together with Quezada.

Quesada also won best tropical album award for "Aqui estoy yo," which was produced entirely by Guerra, for which he received an award.

During the ceremony, conducted by Pasión Vega, Erika Ender and Milly Quesada, 35 of the 47 awards were handed out in the event.
