Santo Domingo. - Journalists Ana Lisania Batista won first place and Rosa Alcantara second in the print and web media category, while Angela Sánchez took first and Xiomara Elizabeth Brito second in the television category.

This yearly event sponsored by Philip Morris and the Dominican Center for Gender Studies and the Dominican Journalists Guild, was held at INTEC University, where the Gender Perspective prize from RD$100,000 to RD$75,000 was given in both categories.

The jury was formed by the journalists Ines Aizpun, Juan Bolivar Diaz, Naivi Frías, Susi Pola, and Lourdes Contreras.
