SD. Dominican violin virtuoso Aisha Syed Castro launches her debut album, Pasión Latina, today on iTunes and Amazon.com.

Pasión Latina is a compilation of Latin American and Spanish classical masterpieces including Astor Piazzolla’s famous “Le Grand Tango,” Pablo de Sarasate’s celebrated “Habanera” and “Zapateado,” and Julio Alberto Hernández’s  “El Primer Beso.”

Excepting the Spanish and Latin American rule in the album’s program is “La Campanella,” by the legendary violin virtuoso Niccolo Paganini.

Aisha is currently touring around the world promoting her new album. She already launched “Pasión Latina World Tour” in Miami last February.  Upcoming presentations will take place in England, Switzerland, Spain, France, Germany, Mexico, Washington D.C., New York and the Dominican Republic.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, she learned violin here and played with the Dominican National Symphony Orchestra. Yes, folks, for once you can claim this talent is Dominican.

(Despite being of Pakistani descent, her scholarship paid by the British government and currently living in London). At only 23 years old and with stunning looks, she has a bright future. Good on her!
