San Pedro de Macorix, D.R. – Tourism business leader Enrique de Marchena Kaluche affirmed Thursday that to bring 10 million tourists to the country is feasible and desirable, as ruling PLD presidential candidate Danilo Medina has proposed, “because it would create more than 800,000 jobs and contribute more of US$10.0 billion in income, which surpasses the total value of Dominican exports last year.”
Marchena, ex president of the Caribbean Hotels and Tourism Association, spoke as the invited speaker for UCE University’s tourism students, with the presence of Hotels and Tourism Association (ASONAHORES) vice president Arturo Villanueva, and Eastern Hotels and Tourism Projects Association president Ernesto Veloz.
