Santo Domingo - To celebrate the 236th anniversary of Independence July 4, the United States Embassy will host the Concert for the Americas to showcase the hemisphere’s values ??and culture.
The will feature pop star Prince Royce, Latin Billboard Award-winning artist of the year 2012, as well as A.B. Quintanilla & Kumbia Allstarz, one of the most important Latin music performers in the United States.

Among Dominican-American singer-songwriter Prince Royce’s awards, from his first album, figure two Latin Grammy nominations, seven Premio Lo Nuestro, four Premios Juventud and four Billboard Awards. His bluesy bachata styles and vocal quality helped catapult him to stardom in both the US and Latin America.
Quintanilla, a native of Toppenish, Wash., is a Mexican-American rapper who rose to fame in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas, where he began his career with his family and sister, the Mexican-American singer Selena, when he was a teenager. The songs he wrote for the group Selena y Los Dinos during that period contributed to his jump to stardom.
