SD. The Symphony and the Culture Ministry, in collaboration with the Batuta Batuta Foundation of Colombia and the YOA - Orchestra of the Americas, announced the proposal to form the national youth orchestra, Dominican Republic Youth Philharmonic.

The project aims to conduct its first artistic encounter from July 17 to 23, led by Benjamin Zander of the Boston Philharmonic.

The international faculty are members of institutions such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York City Ballet, Boston Conservatory, Mainz Orchestra, and many others.

It will also include Dominican maestro Darwin Aquino as an associate conductor.
