Punta Cana, DR.– Chef Romain Valicon, from the exclusive Tortuga Bay Boutique Hotel's "Bamboo" Restaurant, will represent the Dominican Republic in the "So Amazing Chefs" contest, to be held in September at the So Bangkok Sofitel Hotel, in Thailand.

Chefs from the United States, Denmark, France, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Holland and South Africa are expected to attend. 

Tortuga Bay, situated in Puntacana Resort & Club in the country's easternmost region, was included in the Travellers Choice Awards 2012 listing, issued by the users of the online travel website TripAdvisor. It is also the highest rated hotel in Punta Cana, and is part of the "Leading Hotels of the World" list.
