Los Angeles, Ca.- Juan Luis Guerra and his 4-40 band are in Los Angeles to take part in a musical event “America & Americans Dudamel” which starts tomorrow, 14th August at the Hollowood Bowl directed by popular Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel. The Festival that the world famous classical conductor has organized for the last two years will provide a setting for Juan Luis Guerra to perform his symphonic versions of merengue and bachata.
Guerra considers this a great step for Dominican music as it will present it to a new audience, conducted by an eminent artist like Gustavo Dudamel accompanied by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and his own 4-40 band members.
The Festival, which continues until 19th August at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, will feature top performers like Rubén Blades and Plácido Domingo.
