Santo Domingo.- The Canadian Embassy and the Tourism Ministry delivered a second fire truck to the Las Terrenas, Samana, Fire Dept., for the community which as recent as three months ago didn’t have any firefighting units.

The Canadian Embassy donated the truck at the behest of Tourism minister Francisco Javier Garcia, whose effort came in the heels of the May 7 blaze which engulfed the entire village of Los Pescadores (fishermen).

Deputy Tourism minister Fausto Fernandez and Canadian ambassador Todd Kuiack delivered the vehicle to the town’s Fire Dept station.
