SD. "Jazzn’ up the Dominican Songbook" is Pengbian Sang’s first album and will debut in three Santo Domingo stages and one in Santiago, March 12, 14 and 16.

Produced and directed by renowned Dominican musician Pengbian Sang for his group "Retro Jazz," the CD brings a selection of the most emblematic Dominican songs, orchestrated, recreated and performed like never before.

Rafael Solano, Manuel Sanchez Acosta, Leonor Porcella Brea, Luis Dias, Juan Luis Guerra and Anthony Rios are just a few of the composers honored by the production, placing their most iconic songs in a new dimension.

From criollas to merengues, from bachata to salsa, the stalwart Dominican tunes rise to new heights with an authentic jazz perspective, performed Dominicans seeking to pay a sincere tribute to our country’s composers.
