Higüey.- The Museo de la Altagracia, the recently-opened museum on the grounds of the city's main landmark, the Basilica de la Altagracia, is hosting a temporary exhibition by five Dominican photographers with a selection of their works focusing on the theme of the country’s eastern region.

The exhibition, under the title ‘Retratando el este’ (Portraying the East) is being inaugurated on Saturday June 22nd and the photographs will remain on display until August 25th.

The five Dominican photographers whose works will be on show in the exhibition are Denisse Español, Pedro Guzmán, Amíntore Laureano, Frank Luna and Roberto Mena. They are all residents of the country's eastern region, based in La Romana, Punta Cana and Higüey.
