First Lady signs agreement that benefits children with autism

Santo Domingo.– Dominican First Lady Candida Montilla and Health Research director for "Autism Speaks" Michael Rosanoff signed an agreement for the implementation of projects involving children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

The agreement plans to develop and implement the Global Autism Public Health Initiative, which seeks to improve the quality and reach of autism services worldwide. It will be developed through the Integral Disabilities Care Center (CAID),.

The agreement will allow to identify priorities and unmet needs of the autism community in the country, with a comprehensive approach in which awareness will be taken into account, as well as infrastructure, capacity, service and research.
