Odebrecht Tecnimont Estrella funds training on environmental education

Bani, Dominican Republic.- Seeking to help change attitudes and awareness on protecting the environment, the construction consortium Odebrecht Tecnimont Estrella successfully hosted the first Environmental Education Diploma last Saturday, together with the Salomé Ureña Teacher Education Institute (ISFODOSU ) for teachers from several Peravia Province towns(south).

Hailing from Nizao, Don Gregorio, Santana, Pizarrete, Catalina, Carreton and Paya 27 teachers were trained on environmental knowledge, and will be multipliers in classrooms, communities and their daily lives, to create habits to preserve the environment and the natural resources.

In the first diploma on Environmental Education, in addition to the teachers from the province, also trained were executives and employees of the State-owned Electric Utility (CDEEE) and the Consortium.
