Port-au-Prince.- Actress Mia Farrow is in Haiti to draw attention to thousands of children left homeless and hungry after four storms struck the impoverished country in a month.

Farrow visited a mud-filled cathedral on Saturday in Gonaives, where hundreds of storm victims have been living since early September.

The storms killed at least 425 people, destroyed thousands of homes and razed 60 percent of the island's agriculture.

Farrow, a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, will also visit sites in Port-au-Prince and the hard-hit town of Cabaret during a five-day tour.

The United Nations has distributed food and water to some 240,000 people, but raised only 2 percent of its US$108 million aid goal.

Here we go again....Click click click for the cameras a star is reborn........Here I go again ! I just wonder what % of every dollar donated truly gets to the needy. I for one would like to see a relocation program for these Storm victims, plant more fruit trees and more education like don't build your homes on or near the rivers, dirt foot hills in the Country.......PREVENTION, PREVENTION, PREVENTION.

mrios... I hear what you're saying, but for cryin' out loud - its just Mia Farrow (woody allens ex?) who cares its not like its Beyoncé or something. Plus Mia has done a lot of work with other third world countries. Can we please get over the photo-op concerns and worry about what's more important, like... uh, people thriving maybe?
