SAN ISIDRO AIRBASE, Santo Domingo. – Dominican Telecomm Institute (Indotel), president Jose Rafael Vargas said he favors a shift of paradigm in the operations of the Dominican Republic’s health sector.

The official said it’s also necessary to increase the deficiency of the public services, which should be more like those private clinics provide, and offered “at zero cost” as the State should, to benefit the country’s least fortunate.

Vargas spoke during the inaugural Wednesday of a modern videoconference system and a digital library with 10 computers in San Isidro’s Dr. Ramon de Lara military hospital.
