i saw a tv show about that but instead the babies were real, but yeah i think its great that there doing that because too many young girls in DR get pregnant.

Sex education,prevention and family planning should be available to all young people in DR.. Unfortunately, most DR parents will not talk to their kids about sex. Sex is taboo. Sex is a bad thing to do. Teenagers are very confused people. Sometimes they have sex to piss off their parents and sometimes they do it because there is nothing else going on. Young males should be taught about responsibilities and consequences.. After all, it takes two to make a baby.

Sex Ed is good, but not a panacea for the prevention of teen pregnancies. Kids today have no fear of God, no fear of parents, no fear of authority and no fear of consequences. They just don't give a damn about anything. Everyone raves about these programs, but it's not a cure, rather just another aspirin to alleviate the head-ache. The mind needs to change, before you change behavior. Kids need to be "programmed" to have moral sexual values. This is something that is not learned overnight, but rather must start as soon as possible. They need to learn about discipline, the importance of waiting, self-control and responsibility. By the time the child reaches puberty those values should have already been deeply ingrained and the rest will take care of itself. This is how it is done and has always been for centuries, yet today they expect to solve teen pregnancy in a few days, with a quick little program. To succeed, we need team effort in action home, school, church and community

People cannot throw in the towel, I guess.

I truly believe that God and Sex do not necessarily belong together. I came from an uptight religious family with all that moral mambo and yet my mother was logical enough to tell me I want you to wait till you are married,but if you want to rush it, which I know you will regret it; here are your options Condoms,birth control pills, and abstinence. Instead of filling these girls with fear about having sex teach responsibility not just by a three day baby lesson,but using a birth control and making sure that boys and Men use them too.

Sex Ed has been taught for the longest, ever since I could remember, probably since my days in Jr high. Today, I am in my 40's yet pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases among teens continue to escalate in unprecedented numbers. This is the reason why I don't believe sex Ed alone is sufficient. However, sex Ed combined with a solid, but balanced foundation in moral values is the best alternative to combat this social ill. The problem with sex education is that it only teaches the mechanical aspects of prevention, but does not address issues of the heart and spirit. This is the reason why sex education has not been effective. Youth need to learn about restraint, self-control, self-respect, responsibiltiy, to know consequences and to value their bodies as temples of God . And yes, fear is a major factor in controlling human behavior, just take any intro course in Psy 101 and you will see why. "If it feels good do it" but only if you have protection is a wrong message to convey
