SANTO DOMINGO.- Canada’s Government will allow Dominican students to access funding for its training programs, which aims to raise the standard of living and the quality of education for the student population.
Dominican ambassador in Canada Jose del Carmen Ureña said the diplomatic delegation negotiated the access in Canada, as part of that nation’s effort to bolster ties with Latin America, by financing scholarships for exchange students in Latin America and the Caribbean, through its Emergent Leaders Program.
He said through the scholarships Dominican and other students may attend Canadian universities foregoing the rigorous registry process, whose only condition is that the region’s universities accept Canadian students who would come to do the same in local centers of higher education.
Ureña said the Emergent Leaders Program seeks to provide funding of one semester for exchange students in Canada, with previous cooperation agreements with the region’s universities. "The current reality imposes that our professionals have an international vision in accordance with humanity’s changes."

It certainly is very positive and I am amazed that Water Polo does not realise that most top students at the universities speak and read very good english ..so the offer from Canada has no obstacles and is a great idea to study in a wonderful democracy
