SANTO DOMINGO. - The Progreso bank managed to raise nearly two million pesos among its employees, and an in matching funds from the Foundation INICIA, for the Saint Damien Pediatric Hospital, which works with Haitian children.

In addition Progreso has opened an account where depositors and clients state their commitment with the neighboring nation.

In a statement sent to the media, Progreso bank affirms that it is channeling the actions to support the Asociación Nos Petit Freres et Seours (Our Small Brothers Association), in Port-au-Prince.

Progreso president Mark Silverman stated the entity’s commitment has been diverse and sustained. “The Progreso Bank has raised a considerable sum of money among our employees. In addition the various departments joined to collect water, dry foods and material for the health which has been a relief for Haiti’s youngest population.”

Saint Damien is the only hospital which provides free care for children.
