NEW YORK.- Miss United States Kristen Dalton chose Dominican Republic and specifically the eastern municipality Bayaguana in her first mission as ambassador of the organization Children International, which provides aid to thousands of children around the world.

Dalton said she chose to Bayaguana for its extreme poverty and because it’s a land of immigrants, adding that it’s the best way to celebrate her long term relation with Children International.

On Tuesday morning she’ll visit the Community Center of the Bayaguana section Los Tanquecitos and will head a day cleanup at a nearby river and plant a tree.

On Wednesday Dalton will meet with the First Lady Margarita Cedeño in the National Palace, accompanied by Juan Tapia and Ramon Tallaj, two prestigious Dominican physicians in New York.

NOT TRUE ABOUT THE SUNTAN. MANY MODELS SAY OUT OF THE SUN.
AND YES THEIR ARE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT CARE ABOUT OTHERS.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT.
U KNOW NOT EVERY ONE THINKS ONLY ABOUT SEX 7 DAYS A WEEK. SOME HAVE OTHER THINGS IN THEIR LIFE LIKE HELPING OTHERS.
IF I COULD GET ONE E-MAIL TO HER I TELL HER SHES WASTING HER TIME IN THE DR.,

WOW!!! You guys are unbelievable. You take a positive action and turn it into a negative. It just doesn't not matter what you do, there will always be people who have nothing good to say. Damn if you do and damn if you don't. QUE VAINA E'TA, CARAJO!!!!!

person #1-"Hey what a beautiful day, don't you agree."
response #2-"Yeah.....what's good about it?

HAVE SOMETHING NICE TO SAY, LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE MISERABLE.

Guillermone,
Excuse me for butting in and sounding like Blank Blank negetive, but......GREAT news will be when THE CHILDREN of Children International truely benefit after such a visit from Miss United States.
I can only speak for myself on this one, nothing like a nobel cause for added fame and goodwill towards Men......I mean Children.
Take care.

True, mrios, no doubt you are right, but sometimes people concentrate too much on the gift itself and forget about the actual thought (sentimientos) behind the gift.

Maybe it really is all nothing but PR and politics, but lets give Miss USA the benefit of the doubt. Let's just take it a face value, a nice, kind and positive gesture. And leave it at that.
