"Stop begging!" MS Jersey orders.

oooo

MS Jersey ,

Your advice would be better directed at the US bourgeoisie which now gets trilions of dollars in handouts from the bourgeois regime in Washington which in turn plunders and robs the US people in order to sustain this largesse to the rich.

What Guerra, Juanes, and others are proposing is not robbing the people to give handouts, bailouts, and free lunches to the rich whose annual bonueses often far exceed $2M per month. Indeed, a $24M annual bonus is judged as paltry by today's bourgeois parasites whom you, MS Jersey, defend. The only thing your parasites know how to do is to drive their companies and US capitalism into the ground.

Guerra, Juanes, and others ask the people to express their solidarity with themselves, not with rich parasites, waiting for another billion dollar handout of taxpayer money.

"According to the organizing committee, the funds would go to support programs of the Fundacion Sur Futuro that works in the border with Haiti," the DT reports.

0000

The organizing committee may like to take a look at the example of the Government of Norway which now routes its health care aid for Haiti thur the Cuban medical mission in Haiti, consisting of 1600 doctors and a thousand other specialists. Norway asked other EU countries to do the same, since an array of qualified observers have affirmed the magnitude and high quality of the health care that Cuba provides Haiti.

The corrupt imperialist regime in Washington was outraged by the step taken by the Norway Government. The Obama is hinting that health care funds of Haiti reconstruction aid be depositied with US insurance companies in the health care industry for subsequent administration of the funds in Haiti.

We hope the Fundacion Sur Futuro , named above, doesn't succumb to US imperialist pressure and deceit.

As a profession, artists ... especially musicians ... are a moral vanguard of the labor force.

Anthony C says in a post, immediately above.

oooo

So, Anthony C [hereafter "C"] believes artists, especially musicians, are not the moral vanguard of the labor force.

It's not clear whether "C" denies that artists are the vanguard or denies that "especially musicians" who are within the category of "artists" are the vanguard.

After all, Angelina Jole is an artist, but not a musician, but she gave $1M to Haitian aid.

Hopefully, "C" doesn't deny that musicians are artists.

"artist" are not the moral or any other form of vanguard of the Labor Force. In fact the Majority of so-called artist are a drain on society.

The concert will cost more in labor and supplies to put on then it will raise money for Haiti. The "Artists" involved are just indulging in a form of mutual masturbation to show the "Public" that they care.
They will go on stage, sing 2 or 3 songs then come back for a grand finale and people like Belli will suck it up and scream about how much they care about the Haitian people.

People are so gullible.

I don't know about Juanes, but Johnny Ventura and Juan Luis Guerra are fantastic people who are always there to help other people so I say they should sing their hearts out for Fundacion Sur Futuro and let's hope that they collect mega bucks for the kids. Here is another thing a Dominican Orchestra did for Haiti after all we are neighbors it doesn't matter what skin color the other one is or si tiene pelo bueno or malo eso que importa!?
