Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic will host the international conference of high level technical donors who’ll evaluate the economic consequences of the quake Haiti.

The conclave slated for March 16 and 17 will serve as the base for the meeting on March 31 in the United Nations in New York, where the donors are expected to assume concrete commitments for Haiti’s reconstruction.

In a National Palace press conference Economy minister Temistocles Montas was accompanied by Kristalina Georgieva, of the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid, of the International Cooperation and Response to Crisis.

Her visit to Dominican Republic comes after observing the situation together with Haiti authorities for several days, to channel the European Union’s aid.

Montas is the Dominican Government’s commissioner to work with Haiti’s authorities to draw up a plan of action for that nation’s reconstruction.

USA /Canada can save future headaches for the next 100 years, by just giving the head of each Haitian household 1 million dollars and a plane ticket, to another land of hope. these people have obviously not been the right keepers of the land of the Tainos, so let's kick them the f*ck out of there.

First, US imperialists call for April 15 meeting of big donors in Santo Domingo. Everybody smiles.

Suddenly, US imperialists called March 31 meeting in NYC to tie up all the money two weeks before the Santo Domingo sit down.

DR patriots say "OH, OH!"

But pro-imperialists swine who want the US imperialists to get all the money and want the DR bourgeoisie to get nothing were exhilarated, because the swine understood the imperialists were getting ready to screw the DR bourgeoisie.

LF jumps up and resets meeting from April 15 to March 16, two weeks before the US imperialist-controlled sit down in NYC on March 31.

Now, what's the imperialists gonna do?

Haiti wants most of aid to go thur DR. ALBA and UNASUR want it. Now, it seems EU, an ally of US imperialists, want DR in the middle of everything, because of DR excellent performance after the quake.

Everybody knows DR bourgeoisie is corrupt, but they also know DR bourgeoisie is less corrupt than US bourgeoisie.

Who are these big donors on which the UN relies for humanitarian aid to prevent immediate death and for reconstruction aid to finance long-term economic recovery?

1. About 50 rich governments

2. over 1000 NGOs around the world

3. privte sector organizations representing bourgeoisie of various countries

4. about 75 big foundations from various countries

5. about 15 multilateral organizations, IMF, World Bank, IADB, Paris CLub, WFC, etc.

The March 16 meeting called by LF should get a good turnout of big donors, because most of the big donors already have representatives in DR and Haiti and these representatives have compared the performance in Haiti of the US imperialists and DR bourgeoisie in both humanitarian and recovery efforts.

So, it is hard for the pro-imperialist swine to fool these representatives who have already reported their findings to their organizations, with the kind of lies that the swine are accustomed to telling everybody.

C'mon, stop the pilfirage of donation funds on business expense conferences and meetings. Have every organization, government and institution hold meetings at their local headquarters and set aside the funds to help Haiti in a special account and inform the Haitian government, while the Haitian government draws a master plan counting with those funds, human, technical and professional resources volunteer help to get Haiti back on her feet. We believe in helping Haiti help herself with the funds and volunteers offered now. We believe in a Master Plan to self-governance; to plant a tree in every inch of the territory; to build the industries needed to create jobs and opportunities; to educate and secure health and welfare for the people; to count every Haitian living there and elsewere and to count on them for their own country build up! That way, everyone can help that legendary country and here neighboring Quisqueya will be glad to do that too. Change the island's name to St. Dom.

"Set aside the funds to help Haiti in a special account and inform the Haitian government, while the Haitian government draws a master plan counting with those funds, human, technical and professional resources volunteer help to get Haiti back on her feet," Constitution suggests.

This runs counter to the wishes of the US imperialists, according to a recent article in Miami Herald.

US imperialists are seeking the right to sign-off on all reconstruction contracts and expenditures. If the imperialists get what they wish, the Haitian Government will not be able to sneeze without imperial permission. US imperialists have 17,000 troops in Haiti and dominate the Haitian army and police.

Given the amount of money already raised by the UN ... namely, $3.2B total with $919M so far earmarked for recovery and $2.4 for humanitarian aid of which $750M has already already been spent .... big donors want a say in what happens to the money or else they don't donate.
