Jimani, Dominican Republic.-. President Danilo Medina made a surprise visits to several towns in the southwestern provinces Independencia and Bahoruco yesterday, where he promised residents to take measures to benefit them.

The president saw the damage first hand caused by Lake Enriquillo’s unexplained expansion, including lost crops of the towns Limon and Jimaní, and also received a report on the houses damaged by Tropical Storm Isaac in Tierra Nueva and Boca Cachon.

In Postrer Rio meanwhile, Medina promised to build a road from this town to the village Guayabal and also visited Neiba, and La Descubierta.

"unexplained expansion"
The lake has been expanding and contracting since long before the feral peasant squatters moved in. They shouldn't be there. Don't "benefit" them - they'll just breed more!

Danilo seems to be keeping his promises to these towns. If you actually watch the local news you can see these locals talking about the promises made for the new year, but how Danilo has been sending help ahead of schedule.

And no, I'm not talking about corruption or the electricity issues! I'm talking about the immediate needs of these small towns.

By definition, all Muslims ARE Islamst.

"A Muslim, also spelled Moslem, is an adherent of Islam, a monotheistic Abrahamic religion based on the Qur'an—which Muslims consider the verbatim word of God as revealed to prophet Muhammad—and, with lesser authority than the Qur'an, the teachings and practices of Muhammad as recorded in traditional accounts, called hadith. "Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits to God"

Here's a few quotes from God:

"Slay them wherever you find them...Idolatry is worse than carnage...Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme." (Surah 2:190-)

"Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)

"The only true faith in God's sight is Islam." (Surah 3:19)

"Believers, do not make friends with any but your own people...They desire nothing but your ruin....You believe in the entire Book...When they meet you they say: 'We, too, are believers.' But when alone, they bite their finger-tips with rage." (Surah 3:118, 119)

"If you should die or be slain in the cause of God, His forgiveness and His mercy would surely be better than all the riches..." (Surah 3:156-)

This natural, salty lake below sea-level, with its flamingos and crocodiles, is unique, precious and fragile. It has greater tourism potential than all the rubbish-laden beaches of the country, to the benefit of the whole country. Leave it to the feral peasants and they will destroy if for short-term gain, then come bleating to the government again.

Roy,

You have nothing fear from either "feral peasants" or paranoia of Muslims!
