Santo Domingo.- American Airlines, founding member of the Oneworld ® Alliance, treated street children helped by Don Bosco foundation, to a morning with the high fashion event, Dominicana Moda 2012.

The initiative sought to provide an unforgettable experience for the children of poor homes, including a morning of fun in the Hotel Embajador’s garden areas.

American Airlines employees volunteered for the effort, caring for the more than 100 children who enjoyed a area of entertainment especially for them and also the Blue Island runway fashion of Linandra Javier and Karla Riggs.

American Airlines also showered the children with t-shirts, candy and balloons, and had their faces painted, adding to their enjoyment with Dominicana Moda.

LUCKILY AA didn't give them a plane ride on their aging, broken, frightening planes.
And AA employees have BAD ATTITUDES.
This was token BS.

Giving poor street children t-shirts advertising the airline after having them attend a "fashion event" is bordering on dispicable. Why not make an impacting donation and perhaps fund a school, or provide shoes or books...something meaningful...maybe the sponsorship of a neighborhood clean up effort? .
