SD. Sur Futuro Foundation held on Wednesday hosted the closing ceremony for the Sabana Yegua Sustainable Project, a public-private strategic alliance with the Environment Ministry and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), whose successful materialization made ??it a model of interagency cooperation.
The Project’s 4.2 million dollar financing came from the Global Environment Fund (GEF), and also received economic support from other government agencies and private institutions, for a total of 60.4 million dollars in matching funds.
Environment Deputy Minister Manuel Serrano, UNDP representative Roberto Gálvez, and Sur Futuro Board of Directors member Domingo Marte and its Executive Director Kathia Mejia spoke in the event held in the Embajador hotel.
