Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s Chamber of Deputies yesterday approved a US$130.0 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), to fund the welfare system called Programa Solidaridad.
Though the agreement was signed last October 25, the 2012 Budget didn’t include such financing, for which a bill had to be submitted for Congress’ approval, states the attached letter sent by the Presidency to the lawmakers.
The deputies accepted a proposal by the Finance Commission to declare the bill urgent, and approved in two consecutive roll calls.

I'm sure the DR "FORCED" the IDB to do so. LOL
And, The World Bank and the IMF aren't in contact with the IDB.
WOW! DR can really FORCE its policies on these institutions. LOL
Of course, IF THE DR ACTUALLY captured the 16.43% of GDP as the CEPAL economic study estimates it should garner, perhaps these measures wouldn't be necessary.

What do they need this US$130millions for? I thought by increasing taxes with (El Paquetaso)they
met all the needs there were? What welfare programs are they stipulating this time ? the school
lunches and breakfast or the completion of the METRO?
Dread, Josean:
Did they call off those Deputies abroad to represent Dominicans? If they did not I think that would be a waist to keep them, since neitherr the Consuls nor Vise Consuls are ever to be found, when needed. The same would happen with those useless appointees.

Projecting your frustrations? Accept your sinful ways and repent. You've lost other battles and lived to see a better day, no. 25 years ago?
Allow the Dominican people to read and determine for themselves their economic future without all your Mumbo jumbo.
