The Aguila man.

Zoom Picture

SANTO DOMINGO.- T.J. Peña took on the role of hero for Santiago’s Aguilas, as his two run double off the reliever Jorge Sosato capped a 5-run sixth inning, and a final score of 7 to 5 over Santo Domingo’s Tigres in the Dominican Winter Baseball final series.

The Tigres did everything right early in the game, as Spike Lundberg pitched 3 shutout innings until Mendy Lopez’s solo homer in the fourth, their batters attacked early agasint Aguila opener Derek Lee, and left the relievers with a 4-run lead.

But in the end the Aguilas soared and are now one game away from the crown, with the best-of-nine series at 4 games to 2.

I watched most of last night's game. I've watched the Caribbean games before. And like many of them, this one didn't disappoint.
