BOSTON.-David Ortiz is calling on his friends, even from the New York Yankees, to help his charitable organization dedicated to assisting children.
Next month the Dominican baseball player of the Boston Red Sox will host a golf tournament in the Dominican Republic, where the Panamanian Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez, and two more players from the Yankees confirmed their participation.
On Tuesday Ortiz said his left wrist feels better after it bothered him nearly all of last season. Doctors said he’ll improve with rest.
"I guess people understand how important it is, what I’m trying to do," Ortiz said. "It’s something that’s going to help a lot of people, a lot of children."

May God bless you Mr Big daddy, you are truly a big daddy to the little dominicans kids, I wish I could be of some assistance and by the way I am extremely proud of you and I really hope this message makes it all the way to you and everyone else who cares.
