Cap Cana, Dominican Republic.- The first David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic concluded successfully and featured famous national and international sport figures, gathered in the resort’s Hotel Sanctuary.

The team of San Casey won first place with 61; second place went to Jim Rice’s squad with 61-11, whereas Placido Polanco took third place with 62-10.

The players included Larry Lucchino, Phil Morse, Joe Van Buskirk, Dominic Marci, David Roberson, Gary Robertson, Christopher Marano, Andres Galárraga (fourth place, 62-10), Bill McKenna, Pat Belica, Mark Millar, Cortney West, John Havlicek, Peter Dpeza, Mike Lembo, Brett Rudy, Joshua Fink, Mark Walkder, Tiffany Ortiz, Jose Mercedes, Diego Bentz, Alex Rodriguez, Rohan Oza, Efraín Soto, Warlike Pat, Tacheal Herinquez, Rotti Hunter, Alex Yaryura, Joan Miranda, Euclides Diaz, Oscar Pichardo, Bryan Cluse, Jeff Neal, Sergio Perez, Jhonny Perez, Clay Buccholz, Carey Howard Alfredo Griffin and Manny Mota.

David Ortiz spoke to the journalists and said he’s grateful for the solidarity and friendship shown during the match staged on Saturday. “I am very happy for having supported us. This will serve to contribute with the intervention of 80 children, who, thank God will have a new life with the resources that we are raising.”
