Santo Domingo.– Miguel Sano has been granted a U.S. work visa, completing his $3.15 million bonus deal with the Minnesota Twins, according to a report by ESPN Deportes.
Sano had been in the center of rumors about the possible falsification of his personal documents, which some believed he lied about his age. Sano and his family were subjected to DNA tests to confirm parenthood, and a study of Sano's bones concluded that he was between 16 and 17 years old.
This follows recent concerns that some Dominican prospects may have been using false names and birth documents to lower their age and get higher signing bonuses.
His professional baseball career would start in 2010, most likely in the Pacific Gulf Coast League, Plummer said.

I heard his signing bonus was a new Hummer H2, a Taurus 9mm, a case of Brugal each month and a Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card.
No his first bonus before signing a official contract was around the $300,000 and the first thing he wanted to buy was a nice house for his family and his mom that to him was the most important thing because he felt she has suffered to much for too long. He did just as he wanted by hard work and dedication which i wouldn't expect you to know anything about by your childish and arrogant comment there.
I hope this young man much success, and hope he will do us all very proud-God knows we are due for an infusion of positive news.
Miguel, best of luck to you in all future endeavors. We will be cheering you on.
Gos speed, and please never forget your mom.
