Miami.– Dominican outfielder Manny Ramirez met with his Dodgers teammates to apologize for the suspension by Major League Baseball. Ramirez, who has at home in Miami, met with the team at a hotel
and said he was sorry for his suspension.
It was the first time he had met his teammates since he was banned 50 games by Major League Baseball for violating its drug policy. “I realized he feels at ease among people who know him,” manager Joe Torre said, “but the situation was uncomfortable.”
Baseman Casey Blake commented the meeting lasted just a few minutes but, like other Dogers players, he did not want to go into details. “He looked a little bit anxious,” Torre said. “This is the human side of the story. Everybody was happy to see him again.”
Ramirez had been banned 50 games on May 7 by Major League Baseball for usage of performance-enhancing drugs. Dogders owner Frank McCourt met with Ramirez twice last week and encouraged him to apologize to his teammates.

Just a matter of all those millions obscuring their clear thinking, and considering themselves above it all.
Manny did not learn from the examples of his teammates, and indulged in steroids,
again thinking that he would get away with it. Now his whole career is down the tubes and he will join the ranks of the defrocked.
The press will take any cheap shot they can, because after all, Manny treated them
like dirt, most of the time.
For the other baseball players that are reading this:
1. Be nice and caring to your fans and the press.
2. Don't take any shortcuts and follow the rules.
3. Take utmost care of building your "legacy" and reputation. Much later after your time in the spotlight is over, you will feed off your good deeds and great reputation.
