New York.– Commissioner Selig and the MLB do not plan to issue any disciplinary action on New York Yankees starting third baseman Alex Rodriguez. The decision was made once the investigation was complete.

Rodriguez met with officials from Major League Baseball’s Department of Investigations and Labor Relations Department in March after he admitted to the steroid use.

He claims the steroid use was from 2001-2003, but reports from the New York Times noted that Rodriguez might have used performance-enhancing drugs for a longer period, thus furthering the investigation.

When Selena Roberts came out with her book in April, more unflattering rumors surfaced that he was in possession of steroids as late as 2004. Whether or not that is the case, the commissioner’s office had a difficult time coming to its conclusion.

Baseball investigators have interviewed Angel Presinal, the Dominican trainer who has been banned from all MLB clubhouses, but the session did not provide much information.

Some keep on beleiving that the used of steroid enhance performance from one day to the next. It seems that the public as well as the medical profession are ignorant of many facts. In the first place it will take some years for the boby to physically make the adjustments into new weight and standards. You can't say " here take these pills and wow now you're a superman ". Go to the plate and hit homer after homers.

How come people don't go apesh1t when someone in football test positive for steroids,I mean it is EVIDENT that football players (99.9%) use steroids to get that big and strong!

One has to make a weight comparison between today's football players and football players from back then.

Besides, you gotta have the talent to hit a baseball regardless of steroids.
If you don't have that talent then steroids won't make you hit.....Not even a basketball!
