Santo Domingo.– Pedro Martínez on Saturday inaugurated a joint project with the office of Major League Baseball in the Dominican Republic to educate young prospects in the country.

Martinez said he wants to help young players who are struggling to reach the greatest baseball know their rights and duties. "I want to give something back to the community and that something is one thing I always have time to give, that is education," he told the press.

Dominican Republic is the largest producer of foreign players in the majors, but also has the highest number of positive drug tests in the lower circuits. Martinez, who pitched last season with the Phillies, believes that more needs to be done to combat the use of banned substances.

The three-time Cy Young Award winner gave a talk to nearly 100 children in the Quisqueya stadium in Santo Domingo.

This guy is doing something good for his country, educating the young kids and teaching them how to be disciplined and good manners in order to be good citizens.

Better than our president, who is pitching a game to be in the OAS or UN or another big organization like UNESCO or who knows, but in the mean time is letting the NARCO take over our country and making himself blind to that problem. I'm inclined to believe that he knows everything and everybody involve but don't want to get his hands into the dish, instead he keeps his mouth shut and eyes closed. Seems to be like he's taking advantage of the situation for his own international political gain. He's like a snake in the grass, not sound and take you by surprise and bite your ass and make you sick killing you finally.

Remember the "narcotraficantes francesas" french drugs smugglers , the president send them to their country with honors after a sentence of eight years in prison in DR .

If he doesn't read papers or doesn't know what is happening with the drugs in DR.

HOW HE FOUND OUT ABOUT THESE GIRLS? Is independent the justice in DR?

There is a million questions open and unanswered regarding this matter.
