Tokyo.– The women’s mega volleyball event,  the FIVB Women’s World Championship, will be hosted by Japan this year and will be attended by 24 teams from five different continents of the world, including the Dominican Republic.

The major volleyball federations will send their teams to Tokyo for the big competition, which starts on October 29 with the preliminary robin round. The first phase of the tournament will be covered up till November 3 and it will be followed by the second round, where the top four teams of each pool will play their matches. The final round and classification matches will end the activity on November 14, 2010.

The teams will be divided into 4 pools: Pool A, Pool B, Pool C, and Pool D. Peru, Serbia, Japan, Poland, Algeria and Costa Rica will be put in the Pool A, while Pool B will accommodate teams from Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Czech Republic and Kenya. Similarly, USA, Cuba, Germany, Thailand, Croatia and Kazakhstan will play with a label of Pool C. The teams from Russia, China, South Korea, Turkey, Dominican Republic and Canada will be seen in the Pool D.

The teams will travel to five different Japanese cities to play the matches. The arrangements have been set up in Tokyo, Matsumoto, Hamamatsu, Nagoya and Osaka.

Amazing team just beaten by the Russians in Sydney Olympic games and think came first in 1962 (womens team) in first major tournament and have been doing great eversince 'good on ya' go womens volleyball in DR
