La Romana, Dominican Republic.- The Sugarcane Series tasted extremely sweet for team La the Romana and with a great harvest, as the Toros today celebrate their second pennant.

The Toros took advantage of the errors by the Estrellas of San Pedro and again wielded their superior bats to win 4-2, in a 5-game sweep to take the Dominican Winter Baseball crown.

The La Romana team will now head to the Caribbean Baseball Series to represent the defending champion, Dominican Republic.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that los Toros would win this year ...for the last few seasons they have started well early in the year and faded but this year they had much more concentration ,,,,many many congratulations and bad luck to las Estrellas who did very well this year also

I said before the season started...to my Aguilas friends...this is the year of the Toros...started well....played to win all season and the end result...a sweep of the Estellas! Well done!

My one Aguila friend still thinks they are shyte, and were simply lucky... but hey...Aguilas have had a hard time flying as of late...the only flight seems to be infield pop flies!
