Mar del Plata, Argentina.- Canada again became the Dominican team’s thorn on its side in a continental faceoff, flaunting effectiveness in three-pointers to neutralize the defense.

The Canadians halted the Dominican offensive in the second half, combining that with enough scoring needed for their first win (73-72) in the Olympic qualifiers

The Canadian win, with 10 baskets in 23 attempts (43%) on three pointers, and 24 of 57 on the board, was enough to hand the Dominicans their first loss.
