SANTO DOMINGO. – Saturday night’s 10-6 win by Santo Domingo’s Lions over San Francisco’s Giants in Quisqueya stadium gives them a berth in the Dominican Winter Baseball Championship series.

The spot on the series comes with the defeat handed by Santiago’s Aguilas to Santo Domingo’s Tigers in the Cibao stadium, which gives them and the Giants 7 wins to 8 losses each, but both still lead Santiago by one game.

The current standings: Lions are in first with 10-5; Tigers are 8-8, while the Giants and the Aguilas are both at 7-9.
