"has won the series’ crowns three years straight since 2009."

Pure B.S.

This "drifter" hasn't even scored a point in Formula D....EVER!!!

I don't know what is worse.
The fact that some punk can put a press release in the D.R. that basically lies or that so-called, News outlets don't even bother to check out the claims.

I guess neither Castro nor D.T. thought that somebody with a Formula D hard card would frequent this website.

Tony,

I think DT did a terrible job of translating the article. If he's going to compete for the FIRST time, how can he be a three time Champion?

But I'll give you this: I've checked (formulad.com/drivers/) and can't locate him among the DRIVERS. So unless this is some last minute notice, I'm on the fence on this one. Why would he state this with so much attention, IF IT'S BS?

Somehow, I think there is some screw up going on here.

"Fórmula-D

As I suspected, it's poor witing by the original article writer and a poor translation on the part of DT.

The writer, Yamell Rossi, creates the impression that Castro is the defending Champion at the event, and even states that he's been the champion for the years 2010 and 2009!

I'm thinking that "Campeón Nacional" or Dominican Champion was omitted by the writer.
