SD.  Around 100 drivers in four categories will jockey for the best positions in the Michelin Automotive Prize Saturday afternoon, prior to the main race slated for Sunday, in Santo Domingo’s Mobil 1 speedway.

Since Monday the cars and the teams of drivers sponsored by local dealers of various brands have been on the track readying to classify in the race, second in the 2012 national championship.

The competition features the categories Dominican Touring Series (DTS), Racing Sedan (RS), Street Touring (ST), as well as National Turismo (ST).

Among the favorites for first place in the DTS are the twice champion Gustavo Kiko Cabrera, the brothers Jorge and Jose Ricardo Leroux, Jacintico Peynado, Ronny Suárez and the team of Jose Aybar (Tonino) and Tony González.
