Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Tennis Federation (Fedotenis) will stage the Davis Cup competition between Dominican Republic and Mexico in Santiago’s Centro Español, as requested by the Santiago Tennis Association.

Fedotenis president Persio Maldonado made the announcement on Wednesday and affirmed that the Centro Español will host the most important international event in Dominican tennis.

He said the country will seek to advance to group 1 in the American zone again, as it did in 2009 after 20 years, when it beat Venezuela in the Santo Domingo Tennis Club.
