TIJUANA, Mexico – For the second time in history Dominican Republic's women's volleyball team earned a spot in the Olympics by defeating Cuba 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 27-29, 25-20) in the NORCECA Olympic qualification tournament on Saturday night, AP reports.

The team also went to Athens in 2004, finishing 11th.
