CARACAS.- “We’re ready," said John Calipari when asked how the Dominican was preparing for Tuesday’s debut against Korea in the Olympic Basketball qualifiers being held in the city’s Poliedro stadium. "The team is well trained, very united and ready for a good performance in the tournament."

"I'm not worried about the opposing teams, but instead that we can develop our game and in that sense, I think we’re able to beat anyone, I like my team and our chances of qualifying," he said.

On the Korean team Calipari said he’s been watching videos of that team’s games and its coaching staff, “and I can tell you they move the ball well and have good 3-pointers."

"In addition, Koreans play hard and are very aggressive defensively," he said.

The Dominicans play Korea staring 11:30am today, as part of Group C.
